LOTD : Purple Galaxy

Hi everyone, I am recently obsessed with a lot of things lately! So I decided to make a blog update~~ I haven't been using a lot of makeup last year and then Spirithoods collaborated with Black Milk Clothing and I decided to get the Black Milk purple galaxy skater dress to go with my galaxy wolf spirithoods! Yeay! I really love that the entire print is actually a photo taken by NASA of an actual galaxy. And so when I tried the dress on, I rediscovered my favorite eyeshadow in this whole wide world, and it is Omen by Urban Decay. This eyeshadow can be found in Urban Decay's 15th Anniversary eyeshadow palette if you own it. It's the best limited edition eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay that I own and I own a lot of UD shadows! They also sell them in individual eyeshadow pots. It's basically this neon purple eyeshadow with lots of sheen in it. It's soo pretty! I love it a lot!

LOTD

Giverny Real Skin BB cream
Maybelline pure mineral concealer 01

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette:
Omen
Vanilla
Midnight 15
Blackout
Benefit Fine One One
Clio Kill Brown waterproof brush liner 02 brown

Revlon super lustrous lipstick matte 012 Sky Pink

I must admit, purple isn't my all-time favourite eyeshadow, but when I think about purple galaxies and nebulas, I could possibly go quite crazy without my omen eyeshadow ;)

have a nice day lovelies! xx

Hello ladies and gents. I've been on a blog post roll since yesterday~~! If you haven't seen my last post, go check it out because this post is something related! I find that talking about something that I like helps me keep calm so if you can't guess by the picture above, it's spirithoods! I've talked about spirithoods in my last posts and in this one I just want to share my spirithoods collection at the moment. My collection is still new and I'm actually still waiting for some of them in my mail but I can't resist pinning it already. The wait and anticipation is killing me! Click on the picture below if you want to read about my collection in detail. I am very fascinated by the lore behind every hood :)

I won't be getting my Galaxy Wolf in a long time but I've decided to take the neon polar bear hood with me on my trip to Japan~~ Mine has white paws and my fellow tribe member told me that the polar bear's fur is softer than the fur on the husky! All of them are faux fur by the way so by no means am I referring to real animal fur! They are all made with high quality faux fur and no animals were harmed in the making of spirithoods.

Lots of new spirithoods will be coming out in Spring, if you follow Spirithoods on instagram, you'll get a clue or two. I can't wait to see what's in store for the My Little Pony and of course, Black Milk Clothing collab, gotta love em Nylon! On a side note, if you play league of legends like I do, you will notice some fun animal related team names this year in the eSports. Like Copenhagen wolves and Unicorns of love, I think they need spirithoods too   ;)   Or well the fans, I just got done from watching the live stream with my boyfriend and he enjoys them way more than I do obviously.

Anyways, I also spotted a few interesting things that I'm going to get for my spirithoods charm. I pinned a few of them on my wishlist pinterest board. I think a hello kitty charm will look pretty cute on my neon polar bear hood which is pink and also since I'm taking it to Japan with me, I think it'll be sooo freaking amazing to just have a piece of hello kitty with me. I also want a dream catcher or star charm for my galaxy wolf. As for the cheetah and husky hoods, I think I'll just switch around with the ones I will get (fingers crossed)

here's the photo of the hello kitty charm I was talking about. At first I thought of finding a perler or kandi charm. Then I found this on pinterest which is shared by this person's flickr! I found out that it's made from swarovski crystals. It looks super intricate, sparkly and pretty *_* I'm beginning to appreciate beads and swarovski crystals now. I also pinned a few of my favorites on pinterest so if you want to see more, just follow me on pinterest. I am not a crafty person and I don't think people in KL make kandis or perlers. They're more common for Americans and Canadians who go to raves and stuff. I was inspired by my spirithoods tribe members who makes them and trades em. If you have any ideas where I can find pretty charms, do let me know!  :)

Hi everyone, here are some photos that I took a long time ago. I was clearing my camera. My wall used to be white. Now that it's pale pink, it's kinda hard to take photos now Q.Q There's something about having a white wall that makes the object looks sharper and more crisp & on point...It doesn't help that I took these photos when there was no sun! Anyway, here you go~ the practice/play shots that I took (which are so grainy btw)

1. My DIY magnetic makeup board

2. A hello kitty wall deco/bag holder I reallly like this!!! it was a gift from Nai! I have never seen anything like this in Malaysia

3. My dried bouquet of roses. It's not about how I look at it today, it's about how I felt yesterday
I'll be in Japan in less than a week. I cannot wait!!! My flight got forwarded 2 days early *_* I'm thinking of soo many souvenirs I want to buy.. Soo many things I look forward to. Japan is heaven! Japan is everything! Anime, Nintendo, Sakura, Snow!! The things we don't have here..Here are the things I look forward to do/see Hello Kitty! Pikachu, Sailormoon, Harajuku, Food,  Just everything I love!! I've always wished that I was born in Japan. I'll take a million photos while I'm there ;)

Hi everyone, around a month ago, I decided to make amigurumi. I am self taught. I took some photos of my hello kitty ballerina amigurumi cos I was about to gift 2 of them to my 2 best friends! Before gifting one away, I thought oh why not take a photo of the 3 of them together! I was in a rush soo thankfully the pictures turned out alright ^^ I made one into a keychain for my spirithoods charm! yeay! I love making these, crochet is my life at the moment!! I literally just want to quit life and crochet all day. And "other" crafts too hahah Call me crazy but for a long time, crafting has always been an outlet for me to express my creativity. It keeps me calm. I am also making other amigurumi dolls, I'm taking my time with some of them cos I usually don't have any guide to follow. Will take more photos soon!

She's not sitting right haha! She's on my suitcase~~ all ready to head to Japan with me!

One for me, one for my bestest childhood friend & one for my best friend

Asakusa Sakura

Hi everyone! I've been meaning to blog about my Japan trip but I've been busy again with uni of course.. So If you have been following my blog, I blogged that I was going to Japan in the early spring! I was very lucky to spot a few early sakuras!! Asakusa is my heaven on earth. My trip began in Narita airport, I stayed in Hatagaya which is in Shinjuku but it is very near Shibuya and Harajuku. I stayed in Asakusa during my last few days in Tokyo.

If you don't know anything about sakuras, well they only bloom in the spring and they only bloom for 2 weeks, after that they die..Which is why Japan is known for the river with a billion pink petals floating in the late spring. Japanese people enjoy "Hanami" which means sakura cherry blossom viewing. Sakuras reminds me of how short life is and we should live life to the fullest with no regrets :)

Some things I'm excited about & long blog post

Hello everyone, It's the 2nd of June and my last post was in April! I skipped a whole month without updating on anything because of uni life, assignments and also just living life in general I guess. I also just realised that some of my favourite bloggers stopped blogging, they are eki and adriyah to name a few. This makes me quite sad cos I remember some of my high school days in class reading beauty blogs and just personal blogs at the back of class. I was lucky enough to have enrolled in a high school where we had 5 computers at the back of each homeroom.

Anyhoo I finally have some time to update, a few weeks ago I started a new instagram account especially for all of my crafting obsession. My username is dianamigurumi. I really like it, I love following crafters from around the world and it has made me happier, I get to look at inspiring creations whenever I feel like it :)

Here is one of my photos that I uploaded there. It's my favourite amigurumi that I made, hello kitty! with my favourite colours light blue and light pink. ANDDD beside hello kitty is my weekly, if not daily obsession, Pokka Milk Tea! It retails for 3.40 at Shell, and 4.50 at 7-Eleven. Sometimes 4.00 Ringgit if I'm lucky at 7E. Soo expensive! :( I have to buy it sparingly if not I might not have enough small change, and then I won't have enough money, and then I will have to withdraw more money which will leave me broke cos this is a real viscous cycle situation.. lol yeah

But the reason why I like it so much is because it totally reminds of me of the Milk tea in Japan! The one that I had all the time when I was there is called Royal Milk Tea. It was so nice. They sold them in vending machines which were everywhere in Japan, they came in a bottle just like this but with scarves on the words..I don't remember anymore but I remember taking photos everytime I had it just to look back at when I got back and I had soo many of them! my favorite was the sakura milk tea. It was sooo goood! I only just remembered I've tasted something similar here before and Pokka Milk Tea saves my life, I'm not sure why I feel full after drinking it in the morning without having breakfast sometimes.

Did I mention that I already have more than 50 followers on my crafting instagram? Which really perplexes me cos I don't really keep follower count cos I simply just want to follow crafters! :) Check me out and follow me cos if you do, I will feel more motivated to craft! I also have a crafting friend now which I'm really happy about. It's my friend, Jojo, if you remember a time when I used to cosplay and that's how I met her. It was really funny, we bumped into each other a lot cos we go to the same uni, and then we had to meet up and so we were talking about crafts cos she does felted dolls and I crochet, and she told me that she loves collecting stickers and so I was already following nerdEcrafter on youtube at the time and was like really interested in doing resin and polymer clay. So I told her all about resin making and voila, now I have a crafting buddy yeay. The best part is, I don't have to craft alone now haha. I mean I still crochet amigurumi alone most of the time since it is therapeutic and it's not really an activity where you need someone imo but making resin and clay is totally different. I'm very pleased with how my first few resin pieces turned out. It's really fun when you have someone to share materials with, stickers, glitters, nail stuff, moulds, all that stuff which I never thought would be funner to do with someone else. It's also difficult, sad to say, to find crafters who are young. Most of the crochet 'ers and knitters tend to be housewives who have a lot of time. They also don't seem friendly towards younger people, unless they teach craft or are just teachers I guess. I would love to meet some young crafters someday, it would totally be fun.

Soo other than crafting which is taking over my life at the moment, I feel like my sense of adventure is aching again. I always want to go to places I've never been to before, explore and just learn something new. KL is such a small place with many hidden treasures. I've also been slowly getting back into baking. I've always struggled with just setting aside money to buy ingredients since I'm not working at the moment. Somehow, baking has become more like a chore but I really like baking for other people. Crafting helped me a lot too since I've been just crafting for my friends, it's really nice to make something and gift it to people you're close to. Recently I've been watching a lot of movies, I can't wait for the new movies in June, Jurassic world, the new terminator movie and also Insidious 3. It's all very exciting. I'm not sure who's reading my blog every time I post something new, I just don't feel as connected to the people I have met in the blogging world. Youtube has clearly wiped blogs a long time ago but blogging will always have that special place close to my heart. And I would like to thank you if you have been secretly reading my blog and following me all these years :) I have to sleep now because I have 2 assignments waiting to for me tomorrow. Goodnight all!

Phone Photos Diary : Travelling Essentials

Hello all, during my trip to Japan, I had loads of fun and some key items really made my trip feel special and memorable!~~
My Herschel Little America backpack from Bratpack. They have it in light blue now, I got mine last year but would have totally gotten the light blue if only it came last year! My Neon Polar Bear Spirithoods, and a hello kitty amigurumi I made for my spirithoods charm & travel companion. My tiny bag from pedro, and a pink check-in suitcase. I wanted to get a cabin size, that would be optimum, you don't lose anything since you're always carrying it and travelling to 3 different hotels/homestay apartments is a bitch when you're carrying a check-in bag but guess what? My entire family shopped so much in Japan that we struggled with trying to make space to bring back souvenirs haha so in the end my check-in bag is a win win. I guess I have a thing for solid colors? But most of the time you will see me wearing printed dresses, t-shirts anything :)

My Skechers sneakers. These are soo comfortable!! I made a mistake of wearing ankle socks, it sometimes sinks in your shoes and you will get some lines at the back of your foot, not blisters but lines..It took a while for my skin to recover because I had to walk a LOT in Japan. Walking is also a culture there, most people are slim and healthy because they walk a lot! In fact, they do not need an app to calculate the steps they take in a day. I have not seen an overweight Japanese during my stay. That speaks a lot because I also went to Osaka & Kyoto which is outside of Tokyo. My friends and brothers asked me how about sumos? I actually did not encounter one sadly :( I think they live in certain shrines that have sumo tournaments. So yeah get comfortable shoes and normal socks and do not attempt to wear heels if you're planning to go places! Unless you know you wanna walk for 2 hours and get bloody balloon sized blisters that you might need a need to pop and a hundred bandages later to be able to walk lol.
En route to Narita airport! My cute passport. It has another side!! Look at it in the last photos!

Hello Kitty enjoying the scenery :) It was a frosty & sunny flight. My seat was actually in the middle aisle, but I get to sit here whenever I wanted cos nobody was sitting here haha.

Sky so high~~

From Osaka Kansai to KLIA 2. The other side to my cute hello kitty passport holder~~ I got this a longgg time ago when I was in Thailand if I'm not mistaken~~ I am having fun not sleeping cos I am crafting something and I need to wait 1 more hour left before I can go to sleep *_* goodnight all!!

Yarn Storage Inspiration

Hi guys, after months and months of doing many crafting projects, (I mostly crochet but I also resin craft and do a lot of fun crafts) my room is looking completely chaos. I don't have anything to store my yarns except for boxes. It's so bad cos I also have my new set of expensive hooks just lying on the floor too lol

Here's a few photos of yarn organisation idea that I like the most!

How pretty is this cart? It's from Ikea. It's called RÅSKOG and it comes in 3 colours, beige, turquoise and dark grey. It's such a pretty multi-purpose trolley. You can literally use it for anything, planner cart, kitchen, toiletries cart, and even to put drinks if you have a bar. Just google Raskog cart/trolley and you'll see! You can even use magnets if you have any magnetic back cases. It retails for RM 229.

*I'm not sure where the picture is from cos I found it via pinterest and it wasn't credited*

This photo belongs to Craftyjossie She spray painted the cart in candy pink! she used Rustoleum spray paint. I really like this color. I spent quite a bit for my crafting obsession for the past few months so I might have to save a while before I can get one D:! Thanks for reading my post! I found this a few days ago but today I can't stop thinking about this trolley when I have to worry about saving money among others. Follow me on pinterest if you'd like to see more interesting pins. I'll try to sleep now goodnight :)

My Pink Trolley & Raskog Trolley Review

$

Hi everyone, remember my last post? I posted a yarn organisation inspired post. *Read that post if you haven't already* Well, last week my dad gifted me some spending money so I can get the Raskog trolley from ikea, soo I'm super thrilled! I made it pink! Read more if you want to know how I painted it, how much I spent & some tips :)

When I went to ikea, they did not have beige or dark grey, so my only option was Turquoise. I'm quite picky so I really would not like it if it was more on the green side. I was really really hoping that it was going to look more blue cos in some of the photos I saw that the turquoise looked Tiffany blue alike but most of the pictures showed that it's more "green". I did not look around the showrooms like I normally do cos I went to ikea on a Thursday night and there were SOO many people there. I miss the days when ikea just opened, it's soo packed nowadays even on weekday nights. I felt like I was there on a Saturday morning.

So here's a little warning : the best time to go shopping at ikea in peace is probably on a weekday, during the day! So I had to rely on the box's colour swatch since I did not see how it looks like if they had it in the showroom. On top is a picture of how the turquoise looks like without any edit. My camera is showing that it looks a little bit more on the blue side but trust me, it looks super green! that's good for you if you like green but my favourite colour is blue :)

So the next day I bought some spray paints at Ace Hardware, ikano. They did have Rustoleum but the colour selection was limited, and they did not have candy pink or a light blue. It was also pricey. Based on the price I checked online, it's around 50 ringgit for US residents. But over here it's about 66 Ringgit for a can. I opted for Nippon paint, pylox lazer spray paint. It was only RM 7.31 for a can. I needed 3 cans to spray paint two layers on my trolley. The best way is to actually not fix the trolley and spray paint everything in smaller pieces. I also did not sand paper it cos I'm not sure how to do it on metal. I also underestimated how much paint I had to use, I did not put enough newspaper to cover the floor for the fumes, Definitely spray paint on grass and not be like me. I only spray painted on tiles because I was outdoors and it rained that day so the grass was still wet. I really love the colour in the end.

I'm thinking of getting one more for my makeup and beauty products. I'm really mad at myself for not getting it sooner for my makeup collection. It would be so neat to store all of my hot tools, hair dryer, hair straightener and curler in 1 and also another hair curler. I'm reffering to this picture *click me*  except my vanity cart would be either another pink one or maybe white or light blue (I haven't decided yet) + more makeup palettes because I have wayy too many. I'm hoping to get a beige one next time I visit because the spray paint colour will transfer better.

All pink!

Overall I've spent RM 229 for the trolley & RM 21.93 for 3 cans of spray paints. In total RM 250, more or less (GST excluded. 6% GST applies for both items).

I think it's worth it cos before most of my crafting items were on the floor..Now they look all pretty and stuff :) It was also really easy to put together. You need a screwdriver & another person to help you hold it. 5 stars for this trolley!
I also got the white vase (RM 9.90) from ikea thanks to fellow pinterest-ers I was inspired to get it. And the transparent drawer organizer is also from ikea but I got it a long time ago so I'm not sure how much it is. It fits in and you have some extra spaces at the back as well. Will you get one trolley? Comment below and let me know! goodnight lovelies!

Typo Hello Kitty

Hi everyone, a few weeks ago I had to meet my friend Anis, thethinkerbelle (she's a really nice girl and I love meeting bloggers from KL) at 1 Utama to pass her a few things I got from Japan for her, and then we saw this! If you don't know what Typo is, it's basically a shop that sells fun stationeries and house decor. If you like unique heat changeable mugs, notebooks, planners and everything sweet, this shop is for you. Typo is also own by Cotton On which is Australia based. You can find Typo right next to Cotton On at 1 U or if you can also check out their website here for a shop near you.

Needless to say, I went to crazy haha

I'm so so in love with stationeries, always have, always will be! And when I look at all of this, I really really wish I can have them all haha. I really want the ruler and storage boxes. Not to mention the planner dividers.. The theme is also hello kitty & video games, how cute is that? the hearts totally reminds me of Legend of Zelda!
"If life was a video game, you would be my favourite level" too cute!
Good news! you can also shop Typo online! They also give you free shipping if your order is RM 250 and above. Pretty sweet right? Head on over to their website, link below to see more hello kitty goodness!

I know I haven't been blogging about hello kitty that much but I am keeping an eye out for the incoming new hello kitty cafe that's opening soon in Sunway Pyramid :) Can't wait to go and I have high expectations for the cuteness. I'll probably blog about my experiences there as well! take care everyone!
